Terms and Conditions
Users must read these terms and conditions along with the Privacy Policy before accessing the ev.energy website or app. The service is operated by EV Dot Energy Limited and its subsidiaries.
Access to the service requires acceptance of these terms. By using the service, you agree to be bound by them. Non-acceptance means you cannot use the service.
Subscription fees — electric vehicles
The Basic service subscription is free with no fees required. Premium or Prime services may incur charges, communicated at purchase. ev.energy reserves the right to modify features and functionality offered.
Subscription fee changes
ev.energy may modify subscription fees at its discretion. ev.energy will provide reasonable prior notice of any change in Subscription Fees to give you an opportunity to terminate. Continued use after changes constitutes agreement to new fees.
Solar subscription fees
Solar charging product fees are stated on the website or displayed at subscription. Users agree to pay applicable fees, subject to periodic updates.
Carbon credits
ev.energy may use aggregated EV charging data to support carbon credit programs demonstrating environmental benefits. Personal data handling follows the Privacy Policy.
Incentives and rewards
Periodic rewards and incentives may have separate terms. Such rewards and incentives are not guaranteed and ev.energy reserves the right to change the terms and conditions or remove the offer without any prior notice. Partner program eligibility may provide additional rewards.
Use of service with third-party hardware
The service utilises third-party devices like cars and chargers. These integrations are provided as-is and may be limited in functionality, depending on the specification and type of the hardware device.
Consent to access your vehicle and/or smart home devices
By agreeing to these terms, you consent to ev.energy accessing your vehicle, charge point, and connected devices. This enables reading battery status and sending charging control commands.
SMS notifications
By agreeing to these terms, you consent to receiving service text messages. Message frequency varies depending on your interactions with the Services.
Users may opt out by texting STOP to +1 650 600 6862 or +44 7427 924439, or by emailing support@ev.energy. A final confirmation message will be sent.
You acknowledge that opting out of receiving text (SMS) messages may impact your use of the Services.
Participation in energy markets
ev.energy may participate in energy and flexibility markets, accessing aggregated Supplier Volume Allocation data from smart meters. The company may deliver less charging than planned in rare instances.
Aggregated data is shared with third-party trading partners and market operators for validation purposes only, without individual identification.
Refunds
Certain refund requests for Subscription Fees may be considered by ev.energy on a case-by-case basis. Any such requests will be granted at the sole discretion of ev.energy.
Accounts
Account creation requires users to be 18+ and to provide accurate information. Inaccurate, incomplete, or obsolete information may result in the immediate termination of your account on the Service.
Users must maintain password confidentiality and accept responsibility for account activities. Usernames cannot belong to others, include trademark content without authorisation, or be offensive.
Links to other websites
ev.energy is not responsible for third-party websites or services linked from the platform. The company assumes no responsibility for content, privacy policies, or practices.
You acknowledge and agree that ev.energy shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such third-party websites or services.
Termination
Users may discontinue using the service anytime. To terminate and destroy associated data, contact admin@ev.energy.
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation.
Indemnification
Users agree to defend and indemnify ev.energy, its licensors, and their employees from claims, damages, and expenses resulting from service use or breach of terms.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall ev.energy, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
This includes failures to deliver required charging levels by specified times.
Use of service
Users agree not to attempt unauthorised access, violate laws, or collect personal information from the service.
Users cannot access the service if located in or residing in comprehensively sanctioned countries including Iran, North Korea, Syria, Sudan, Cuba, and the Crimea region, or listed on sanctions lists. ev.energy will immediately suspend access for suspected violations.
Disclaimer
The service is provided without warranties. ev.energy does not warrant uninterrupted function, error correction, virus-free operation, or that results will meet requirements.
Exclusions
Some jurisdictions prohibit certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, which may not apply to all users.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Non-enforcement of rights does not constitute waiver. Invalid provisions do not affect remaining terms. These terms constitute the entire agreement and supersede prior agreements.
Changes
ev.energy reserves the right to modify these terms anytime. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms and conditions taking effect.
Continued service use after revisions indicates agreement. Disagreement means the user cannot use the service.
Unacceptable customer behaviour
ev.energy commits to delivering positive, respectful experiences. Customers must treat team members with respect and courtesy. A detailed policy is available at the company website.
